One day when I will pass over to the other side

I hope that St Peter will welcome me inside

I wonder if I will see all my past friends

When we are in Heaven do we all meet again?

 

So if I wait at the Gates of Heaven

Will they be there beside the Gates of Heaven?

Or are they beyond the Gates of Heaven?

If I want to meet with others who I once knew on Earth

I hope that the angels will help me in my search.

If there is a special person that I want to find

What if they are not here yet as it is not their time?

 

So do I wait beside the Gates of Heaven

For when they arrive at the Gates of Heaven?

Does my future lie within the Gates of Heaven?

Your smile will lighten up the corners

And every part of Paradise

Will I then with you forever and all time?

I hoped that if I waited you would meet with me

Will we be together as I wanted it to be?

 

So if we meet at the Gates of Heaven

And we pass through the Gates of Heaven

To paradise beyond the Gates of Heaven

I hope that we can be within the Gates of Heaven.
