HAPPYLAND

Sometimes I go to Paris,  and sometimes I go to Rome

I like to travel far away, so very far from home.

I’ve been around the world – but I have never been alone

I’ve never, ever been;  I’ve never, ever been;

I’ve never, ever been to Happyland.

One day I thought I’d go upon a road that led astray.

Off the beaten track I went,  and soon I lost my way.

In the dark I saw a light and hoped it was for me.

I really want to be; I really want to be;

I really want to be in Happyland.

I want to go to Happyland; I think it could be fun.

On the rides and roundabouts, I’d try them everyone.

I’d try to win a prize with a mallet or a gun.

I think it would be fun; I think it would be fun;

I think it would be fun in Happyland.

Happyland is wonderful; Happyland is great

Happyland is all about a special kind of state

Happyland is glorious; Happyland is fun

Happyland’s for all of us: each and everyone.

Now I’ve  been to Happyland I know what it is like

Is it real or fantasy or is it in my mind?

No matter what the weather is:  the sun will always shine.

I’m glad that I have been;  I’m glad that I have been;

I’m glad that I have been to Happyland.

But now the dream is broken and I’m lying here awake.

I thought I’d take a journey but maybe it’s too late.

I will search for Happyland; I hope that it will wait.

I wish that I could be; I wish that I could be;

I wish I could be back in Happyland.
