This is a song about nothing:
No rhythm no music no chords
It’s trying to go nowhere
Despite what you’ve heard
This is a song about nothing:
No emotion is tainting its tune
This is a song about nothing
Not even you.
I thought that I’d start with a poem
Like Byron or Shelley or Keats
But everybody said that my verses were shit
So I thought I’d try a melody:
Mozart, Beethoven or Bach
But everyone said I was having a laugh.
This is a song about nothing....
I’m trying to miss out the title,
I’m trying to jumble the words
I’m trying to forget all we have learnt.
I’m trying to ignore the structure
I’m trying to do without rhymes
I think I’ll just do ABBA all the time.
